Yahoo Cuts 600 Jobs
Posted on December 15, 2010
Yahoo, Inc. has told 600 Yahoo employees that they will no longer be needed. The cuts impact about 4% of the total workforce.
In an email, the company said, "Today's personnel changes are part of our ongoing strategy to best position Yahoo for revenue growth and margin expansion and to support our strategy to deliver differentiated products to the marketplace."
Layoffs are no fun anytime of year, but particularly harsh this time of year. You can find a letter sent to Yahoo employees from CEO Carol Bartz here.
