Video: Crowdstrike CEO Deeply Sorry for World's Largest IT Outage

A massive global Internet outage has been linked to a Crowdstrike update. A bug in a Crowdstrike update took down the Microsoft operating system all over the world. It knocked out airlines, banks, hospitals, 9-11 systems, casinos and more. It is being described as the world's biggest IT outage.

Crowdstrike CEO George Kurtz appeared on Today to apologize for the error. He says they are "deeply sorry." It issue was a bug in a software upload.

Kurtz says, "The system was sent an update and that update had a software bug in it and caused an issue with the Microsoft operating system." He says the bug has been resolved and systems are working now as they are coming back up.

What a nightmare.
