Homeowners are blurring homes on Google Maps. They are doing this for privacy reasons. Some homeowners also hope it will make things more difficult for potential criminals.
Criminals may do research into homes on Google Home before breaking into home. They might look for signs of a security system, unlocked cars and cameras using the online images.
There is not a lot of research into whether or not blurring your home is effective. Critics say it makes it look like you have something to hide.
