Posted on August 15, 2005
Tivo has plans to allow customers to download tv shows from their Tivo set-top box to the Internet. An AP report says TiVo cut a deal with the Independent Film Channel (IFC). Several IFC shows will be transmitted through a broadband connection as part of a trial program starting next wee
An Engadget post says it will just be the Independent Film Channel to begin with and will expand to include other content at a future date.
It is interesting direction for Tivo. It shows how quickly things are changing because of broadband.
