Strange Gel Remote is Weird and Pointless
Posted on June 20, 2009
This weird thing is called a gel remote. It is just what it sounds like. It is a very strange sounding gel remote that is soft when not in use but hard when it is activated. It's unclear why a remote needs to go soft and squishy when not being used.
The gel remote is apparently a concept product from Panasonic. Gizmodo reports that the gel remote goes limp when not in use. However, when it touched and ready for use as a remote it becomes rigid. We don't think this bizarre remote will catch on. There's really no point in your remote going limp when you are not using it.
