Robot Mouth Makes Vowel Sounds

This video of a robot mouth making vowel noises has emerged on the Internet. The robotic mouth even has a microphone in front of it so its vowel pronunciations can be heard more clearly. The general impression on the Internet seems to be that the robot mouth is quite creepy.
The robot mouth was developed by engineers at the Kagawa University in Japan. They used an air pump and made artificial vocal chords and nasal cavaity for their robot mouth. It is weird but someday a robot could have a mouth like this. Okay, that's weird too. Take a look:
