3% of Americans Still Using Dial-up Connections

The Pew Research Center reports that 3% of Americans are still using dial-up connections. This is much lower than the 6% of American with broadband connections. The number of people on dial-up has been decreasing over time, but it has been hanging around 3% since late 2011.
Hispanics at 5% are the most likely demographic group to be using dial-up internet access. The chart below shows how broadband usage has increased over time. The growth plateaued around 2010 and has barely increased since then. Meanwhile, dial-up usage has continued to fall.
