20 Years of Computer Viruses

Most of the computer using population was only recently introduced to computer viruses and worms -- but they have actually been around for decades according to CNET. The computer virus terminology was first used in a report by a University of New Haven professor in 1984. The first commercial antivirus software was sold by IBM in 1989. In 2000 viruses started spreading maliciously around the Internet and each year since they have increased in impact and tenacity.
We are very concerned as to what the computer viruses of the future are going to do.
